Second section.
Theory and practice of reconstructing evolutionary relationships. Topics include sequence alignment, substitution models, maximum likelihood, Bayesian inference, and phylogenetic comparative methods.
Modern genomics covering sequencing, assembly, annotation, and comparative approaches. A strong focus on scientific literacy and communication.
Introductory research and professional development course giving students experience with the scientific process, experimental design, scientific communication, and a breakdown of the resources at UVU. This course is specific to NSF S-STEM Scholars.
